明天没有早餐了。今天准备鼓腾点啥,冰箱里还有昨天做沙拉剩下的半罐玉米,就上网找了个玉米蜂蜜麦芬的方子。

Cream together butter, sugar, honey, eggs and salt in a large bowl. 3. Add flour, cornmeal and baking powder and blend thoroughly. Add milk while mixing. 4. Add corn to mixture and combine by hand until corn is worked in. 5. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan and fill each cup with batter. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until muffins begin to turn brown on top. Makes 12 muffins.

三下两除二地把它搞定,送进烤箱,出厨房的时候刚好碰到Lucas回来。小卢同学通常都这个时候回来,然后做夜宵,所以我烤蛋糕的时候一般都能碰到他。上周烤苹果蛋糕的时候,有两道工序,烤完第一道工序的时候碰到他,第二天还很关心地问我的苹果蛋糕如何啦。那天很失败,烤箱的格子被往下挪了一格,没注意,结果中间没烤熟,第二天又返工了一个小时,才勉强搞定。前几次忘了是啥原因,反正虽然经常碰到我烤蛋糕,小卢同学总没吃上刚出炉的蛋糕。 果不其然,二十分钟后出去拿蛋糕的时候,Lucas又在厨房忙活着,Tobias也在厨房。问我烤啥,我说玉米蛋糕。两人都做伸长鼻子状,大叹好香好香。问Tobias尝一个不?他说不能确定他能不能吃,这个老兄对一切奶制品和鸡蛋都过敏。哦,我说有奶粉。Tobias很无奈地放弃了。插了一下竹签,发现还有一点面糊,就又烤了两分钟。这时Lucas问我能share他一个蛋糕吗?哈哈,老外有时候直率得挺可爱的。那当然喽。有人捧场当然高兴啦,随便帮偶尝尝到底熟了没有,呵呵。 然后小卢同学掰开一个麦芬呼哧呼哧吃了下去,连呼太好吃了,就是那个纸不知道为啥和蛋糕粘得那么紧,一大片蛋糕粘在了纸上。我说可能说因为太热了吧,凉了就好掰了。之后我就心情愉快地把剩下的麦芬拿回屋了…… 睡觉前忽然想起,哎呀呀,偶竟然忘了放油!!!本来的方子是放牛油的,本来想改成放葵花油,结果加到最后,啥油都没放,狂晕,竟然是无油麦芬,担心第二天起来成了“石头”。 第二天吃了,还好还好,就是有一点点干,就是熊又大呼,好实诚啊。
